I often quote mistakely
Newton's second Law.
But I don't mean to say
F = m a
So my arguements are flawed.
In fact I mean to make use
Of Newton's Third Law to reason.
For this law states that each force provokes
An equal and opposite reaction.
For though this law was intended
To apply to forces and motion
It can also be applied
To life and communication.
If you try to talk to others
By using angry words
Then they will just get angry too
Your arguments will go unheard.
Likewise if you try to push them
They will just push back!
If you don't show respect to others,
Expect them to badly react.
But if your words are gentle
And chosen with great care,
They will lead to understanding,
And your feelings you may share.
I do not mean to hurt
Others who mean me no harm.
But yet if you insult me
Don't expect me to react with charm.
(Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.)
